🚗 About the Job – What You’ll Do

As a Tollgate Cashier (Toll Collector), your main role will be to collect toll payments from road users at various toll plazas across the country. You’ll need to be quick, accurate, and friendly while ensuring smooth traffic flow.

✅ Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have:

  • Matric/Grade 12 certificate
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Previous experience as a cashier or working in a cash-handling environment
  • A clear criminal and credit record
  • Sober habits (no alcohol or drug-related issues)
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • A strong sense of responsibility and teamwork

 Key Responsibilities

As a Toll Collector, your daily tasks will include:

✅ Assisting road users with toll transactions
✅ Collecting cash, card, or electronic payments at the toll plaza
✅ Handling cash accurately and ensuring correct change is given
✅ Following strict security and cash-handling procedures
✅ Performing cash room and administrative duties related to toll collections
✅ Reporting any discrepancies or incidents to the supervisor
✅ Delivering excellent customer service while keeping traffic moving smoothly
