About 18twenty8 Bursary
18twenty8 is accepting applications for 2025-2026 academic year bursaries.
Bursaries will be awarded to Female students, for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies in any field.
The bursary may provide cover for the following expenses, depending on fundraising and donations: tuition fees, textbooks, stationery, laptop, a monthly living allowance and accommodation.
The programme will provide funding for 1 academic year of study and is not renewed automatically each year. Students may be considered for further funding, if they maintain an above-average academic throughout the year.

The programme does NOT cover graduation and/or job hunting expenses.
Shortlisted/ successful candidates will be contacted within 6 months of submitting their application. If you do not receive any feedback within this time, please consider your application unsuccessful. Please do not contact 18twenty8 before the 6 months has passed.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- You must be born in South Africa
- You must be a Female
- You must be between the ages of 18 and 28 years old
- You must be studying or intend on studying towards an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in any field
- You must be studying or intend on studying at accredited higher education institutions in South Africa
- You must NOT be receiving any other bursary funding or NSFAS funding

- ID document (certified copy not older than 3 months)
- 2025 proof of registration
- Latest academic transcript
- Latest fees statement
- Textbooks quote
- Accommodation statement or lease agreement
- Student loan account statement, if applicable
- Curriculum Vitae (2 pages)
- Video introducing yourself (in your video, you should explain who you are, what degree you are studying, how the funding will help you, how you will use your qualification to help others, why you approached 18twenty8 to assist and the full costs of your qualification) (1 minute long)
