Project Engineer – Kempton Park
Job Description
Overview:
We invite qualified candidates to apply for the Project Engineer position within our Bulk Engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage new installations and associated resources.
- Design safe and cost-effective solutions for customer requirements.
- Lead installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites.
- Oversee electrical and instrumentation system design and installation.
- Conduct project management activities.

Job Description
The Technician will be responsible for the performance of required installations and maintenance activities on Reef operational sites effectively, efficiently, and safely. Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:
- Performance of planned & unplanned maintenance and installation activities as directed;
- Planning, communicating, and reporting on maintenance and installation activities within the area;
- Assisting with and performance of identified project activities as directed;
- Compliance with required Safety systems and protocols within APSAP and customer sites.
Minimum Requirements
- A Matric certificate with Maths and Science or N3 qualification with technical subjects;
- Must be a Red Seal Trade-Tested Artisan (preferably a Millwright or Fitter);
- Have a proven record of Apprenticeship;
- Advantages to being a registered accredited SACGA gas installer;
- A valid unendorsed code 08 driver’s license;
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance work experience in an engineering environment in the Industrial or Chemical Industry;
- Cryogenic gas experience would be advantageous;
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills;
- Must be computer literate and proficient in the MS Office Suite;
- Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as and when required;
- Must be willing to be on standby on weekends and public holidays;
- Must be willing to travel extensively as and when required;

Overview & Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the safe & reliable delivery and collection of all products in Liquid or Gaseous form in cylinders and Minitanks to the company’s customers and facilities. The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for conducting the daily pre/post journey vehicle checks;
2. Ensure safe and efficient delivery and collection of cylinders at assigned destinations;
3. Responsible for the safe loading and offloading of cylinders.
4. Responsible for general housekeeping of the truck;
5. Ensure SHERQ standards are constantly adhered to;
6. Performing general ad hoc activities.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum Grade 12 certificate;
- A valid unendorsed EC Drivers License with PrDP;
- A valid Forklift licence;
- Must have valid Dangerous Goods Certificate;
- Must have own reliable transport;
- A minimum of 5 years in heavy duty driving experience;
- Must be experienced in transportation and handling of Dangerous Goods;
- Must be medically fit to perform physical work;
- Must be willing to work Flexi hours & overtime when required;
- Must be able to produce written reports on vehicle fitness and accurate delivery paperwork;
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English
