Nasreddine Nabi could see himself left hanging by yet another trusted lieutenant at Kaizer Chiefs soon according to reports.

Nabi arrived at Chiefs given the luxury of bringing with him his own trusted technical team to help him succeed.

Chiefs lost Da Cruz earlier

He arrived at a moment where Chiefs had already started their pre-season, his former assistant Fernando Da Cruz took over. The Frenchman, who Nabi worked with closely at his former club AS FAR Rabat, arrived at Amakhosi with a massive reputation. He wore many hats in his decades worth of experience in the game. Da Cruz coached in his native, North Africa, was a director of football and a top level scout.

He was such a massive coup for Chiefs and Nabi as an assistant, that other clubs started approaching Da Cruz. Amakhosi management reportedly turned down offers from other clubs for his services initially. But when the Moroccan FA came calling for his services, they could not stand in his way. This was very disruptive for Nabi who didn’t have a second assistant for a while. Eventually that would change.

Nabi reunited with Kaze

Things seemed to work out just fine for Nabi as Chiefs, again, backed him with a familiar and trusted face. That being Cedric Kaze. The two enjoyed a successful spell at Tanzanian giants Yanga SC, winning a double treble together. After reuniting, the Burundian has been given credit for reviving Sibongiseni Mthethwa’s Amakhosi career. Now according to Soccer-Laduma, he may be the next to leave the Tunisian’s side for greener pastures.

Now set to also leave Amakhosi?

“Cedric Kaze is seen as a head coach by most clubs, and I can tell you that there is interest in him elsewhere. Some of the big clubs in Tanzania are monitoring him. This is someone who is keen on being a head coach again and it won’t be a surprise to see him making the step up again at some point in his career. But for now, he is fully focused at Chiefs, and he is committed to serving the club, and he is likely to finish the season with the team,” said the source.

Would it be a big blow?
