We have vacancies for a Corporate Finance Trainee at our Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) Office.
The Corporate Finance Trainee will assist the Corporate Finance team in delivering quality Corporate Finance services whilst supporting the audit stream.
The Corporate Finance Trainee will be responsible for the following key activities to achieve the main objectives:

Requirements:
- Contribute to professional and collaborative client relationships with BDO UK,
- Maintain active communication with managers, partners and clients ensuring the management of expectations and client satisfaction. Proactively identify, document, and communicate any changes to the scope of work,
- Carrying out research to substantiate valuation inputs and assumptions as provided by the audit / external clients,
- Support the Corporate Finance Executives with appropriate research where required and liaise with other parties in the firm to provide research input on valuation specialist matters,
- Perform the legwork on financial models including checking for consistency and accuracy of assumptions, where provided by clients,
- Researching on the audit and accounting rules applicable to scenarios
Qualifications:
- BCOM-Economics, Statistics
- Recent University graduate
Competencies:
- Ability to build strong and effective relationships with internal and external clients ensuring a professional and quality service that meets required expectations and needs,
- Have a clear interest in a broad range of business, strategy, and finance topics,
- Stays up to date with market conditions and developments.
- Excellent communication and report writing,
- Ability to work as part of a team and build a successful team,
- Excellent planning, analytical and organising abilities,
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve internal reporting deadlines,
- Have a strong commitment to excellence and personal and professional growth,
- Have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for analytics,
- Ability to prepare / present detailed reports with the appropriate levels of literacy.
