Requirements

  • Be South African citizen
  • Be in possession of a matriculation certificate with a pass indicating acceptance at a university
  • Have proof that you have registered and been accepted at a South African tertiary institution
  • Grade 12 pass mark of 75% in Mathematics, Physical Science and English
  • The course of study must be relevant to the energy sector

Internship Program

Shell South Africa has various programs to equip the youth for the world of work through a blended learning approach which provides both workplace experience and accredited qualifications.

Our internship program gives recent graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the evolving energy industry. This program is typically 12 months and participants undergo a structured training program in Business Analysis Support Practice that follows a blended learning approach which consists of on the job and classroom training. Upon completing the program participants receive a NQFL 5 certificate in Business Analysis Support Practice and could be appointed to a permanent role in Shell.

Learners with Disability

At Shell, people are our greatest asset, including all our colleagues, partners, and customers with disabilities. Creating an inclusive, psychologically safe environment is a priority for us. The Learners with Disability program is a structured training program in General Management. The program follows a blended learning approach which consist of on the job and classroom training. Upon completing the program participants receive a NQFL 2/3 certificate and possible appointment into a permanent role.

Structured Operation Training

Our Structure Operation Training Program is gives participants an opportunity to take part in a training program in chemical operations for 12 months. The program follows a blended learning approach which consists of on the job and classroom training. Upon completing the program participants receive a NQFL 2/3 chemical operations certificate and possible appointment into a permanent role within Shell.

  • South African citizenship
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science results or equivalent

Engineering Internship Program

Participants in this skills development program receive on the job exposure at our depots. This program takes place over the course of 12-months and equips participants to sharpen their skills in engineering.

Requirement

  • South African citizenship
  • National Diploma/Degree/BTech in engineering and science studies
