  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old by January 1, 2025.
  • Citizenship and Work Authorization: Candidates must be eligible and authorized to work in the country where the fellowship takes place. Candidates should consult the necessary documentation independently, as Google cannot provide assistance in this process.
  • Enrollment Status: To qualify, applicants must be students enrolled in an accredited institution by August 30, 2025. This includes those in colleges, universities, masters programs, PhD programs, or undergraduate studies. Importantly, previous Google Policy Fellows are not eligible to reapply.

Program Timeline

The application deadline is Friday, April 4, 2025, at 12:00 PM ET (9:00 AM PT). The Fellowship will commence in June 2025 and run through August 2025. Applications are reviewed by host organizations on a rolling basis, so early submission is strongly encouraged to ensure consideration.
