Beyoncé Knowles-Carter lit up Soldier Field with a blazing performance for the final night of her three-show run in Chicago, despite the chilly spring weather sweeping the Windy City. On May 18, the Grammy-winning superstar kicked off her third concert of the Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour at 8:22 p.m. CT, bringing unmatched energy and spectacle to thousands of fans.

This performance marked the conclusion of Beyoncé’s Chicago stop, following shows on May 15 and 17. Fans flooded social media throughout the weekend, commenting on the unseasonably cold temperatures as they waited for the Queen Bey to take the stage. Even Beyoncé acknowledged the freezing air with a warm and witty promise:
Thank y’all for being here tonight. I hope y’all stay warm. We gone get it hot,” she told the roaring crowd as the show began.

And hot it got. Beyoncé dazzled fans with a high-energy set, complete with genre-spanning performances, high-fashion wardrobe changes, and heartfelt moments. The third Chicago concert also introduced fresh visuals and a bold new look — a sparkling oversized No. 4 jersey paired with dazzling thigh-high boots — sending fans into a frenzy.

Beyoncé thrills fans with energy, fashion, and gratitude during her last night at Soldier Field

Originally debuting her tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour quickly earned praise for its artistic diversity. Each concert features a robust 39-song set list infused with country, soul, pop, and powerful political themes. Her five-night SoFi residency broke records and set the tone for what has become one of the most talked-about tours of 2024.

The Chicago audience was no exception to the magic. As Beyoncé neared the end of her performance, she paused to express her heartfelt appreciation to the crowd.

Chicago, I want y’all to know y’all may be the best audience. I can’t believe y’all have so much energy,” she said. “It’s 50 degrees, they say it feels like 41. Y’all been out here giving me so much warmth.”

The Cowboy Carter album, released in March 2024, marked a pivotal moment in Beyoncé’s career. The 27-track project has already made history: she became the first Black woman to win Best Country Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards and also took home the prestigious Album of the Year. The album blends traditional country influences with modern themes and features collaborations with both country legends and rising Black country artists.

The tour, now rolling through nine cities across the U.S. and Europe, is scheduled to conclude in Las Vegas on July 26. Beyoncé’s tour has already broken several records — including the most performances by a single artist at SoFi Stadium.

Next, Beyoncé heads to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where she will perform five nights starting May 22. Anticipation is already building as fans on the East Coast prepare for their turn to experience the Cowboy Carter phenomenon.

From redefining the boundaries of country music to breaking touring records and delivering unforgettable performances, Beyoncé continues to prove why she’s a global icon. Her final night in Chicago was not just a concert — it was a celebration of resilience, creativity, and connection, all wrapped in a glittering, genre-bending spectacle.
