BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs target shock Thembinkosi Lorch deal!

Kaizer Chiefs could be set to pull off the shock signing of the current transfer window according to the latest!

Chiefs are already believed to be close to announcing deals for two forwards and now a whole host could follow. 

Chiefs set to sign two forwards

It is expected that Chiefs will announce the acquisitions of Tashreeq Morris and Glody Lilepo imminently. The lanky striker joins Amakhosi permanently in a swap deal that sees Christian Saile go the other way on loan. The Soweto giants subsequently also agreed terms personal terms with DRC international winger Lilepo. This after matching his valuation by Valenciennes FC. 

It’s believed that Chiefs paid €500,000 (R9.6 million) to get the services of Lilepo, with just an announcement pending. Now according to the latest reports, however, those might not be the only two forwards they could sign. A sensational report from Sunday World, claims the Glamour Boys are looking to clinch an audacious move for Thembinkosi Lorch! It is believed their club bosses have met with their Mamelodi Sundowns counterparts. 

Won’t be all, however, as they target Lorch from Sundowns!

“In what is likely to be another January transfer of the season, Sunday World has it in good authority that Kaizer Chiefs are indeed working hard behind the scenes and engaging in talks with Mamelodi Sundowns for the signing of Thembinkosi Lorch.” Wrote the publication. 

The publication also goes on to highlight that Sundowns sporting Director Flemming Berg is the one offering Lorch to Chiefs. That, in itself should come as an encouragement to the Amakhosi bosses, giving them a better chance of signing him. Additionally, a source speaking to the same publication claims they want the former Orlando Pirates playmaker to guide their youngsters. 

“ The objective is for Lorch to assist the youngsters Mduduzi Shabalala and Mfundo Vilakazi in attack, and he is not playing at Sundowns. The club (Chiefs) could be making an announcement at the end of the transfer period” said the insider to Sunday World.
