Baseline:
    NQF Level 7 (Degree in Accounting/ Finance)
    CA (SA), CIMA
    8 years’ experience in Accounting/ Finance/ Reporting/ Analytics
    Exposure to Internal Controls, Risk Management, Data Analysis, Data Visualisation and Reconciliations
    Power BI Analysis
    SAP Experience

What You Will Be Doing

 

    PERFORMANCE MONITORING & COURSE CORRECTION 

    Develop and produce reporting analytics to clearly identify key trends or issues that necessitate further analysis or course correction (including Rental Expense, RAS Analysis, Volumes, Margins, Profitability, and Site Profitability).
    Conduct Business Performance Review by monitoring, analyzing and reporting the business performance against set targets for the Division, identifying emerging trends, and recommend appropriate intervention plans where necessary.

    BUSINESS PLANNING, BUDGETING & FORECASTING

    Co-ordinate and prepare the relevant business planning & budget inputs from the various Divisional departments for the development of the business plan in line with divisional strategy.
    Prepare and support the presentation layer of Business planning process to stakeholders.
    Prepare monthly forecast for the Division comprehending latest business environment and trends

    FINANCIAL/ MANAGEMENT REPORTING

    Complete and review month end and year end closing transactions and procedures for reporting, including liaison with audit team and closure of audit.
    Review accounting transactions for data accuracy and ensuring Engen is practicing good policies and meeting governance i.e. safeguard the company on IFRS, group policies and other regulatory requirements
    Prepare Management reporting to assess performance and identify course correction
    Identify and improve the efficiency of processes of financial transactions
    Disaggregate Balance Scorecard KPIs for financial metrics for all departments within the Division

    DECISION SUPPORT

    Co-ordinate annual RAS margin adjustment updates as per agreements with dealers & perform monthly analysis of RAS margins in order to ensure data accuracy.  
    Co-ordinate annual RAS templates for submission to Finance for margin adjustments. 
    Perform pre and post project analysis to track performance versus targets
    Perform detailed reviews of partnership financial models]

    BUSINESS SUPPORT

    Manage identified financial projects and see it to completion    Identify weakness in processes and report and evaluate on such and implement approved solution 
    Liaise and interact with all internal customers by following up on business processes & deliverables and providing support to ensure that deadlines are adhered to as per agreed SLA’s.

    COMPLIANCE & SYSTEMS GOVERNANCE 

    Review of new contracts of business ventures and highlight requirements meeting sound IFRS compliance. 
    Manage and roll out new IFRS requirements to the division
    Ensure the system is automated to comply with IFRS
    Custodian of the impairment calculation for audit. Identify early warning signs and alert management for course correction
    Finance owner of the Retail RSA Financial Performance Reporting system.
    Ensure that Retail Reporting system is kept up-to-date, source data managed, system properly maintained and supports the reporting requirements of the Division and the Group.
