Purpose Statement

To provide support to the Divisional Executive: Credit Managment, the senior management team and the respective business unit, performing office management and general administration duties to optimise efficiency and allow their focus on strategic and business critical tasks.

Introduction

Are you an organized and proactive professional with a passion for supporting senior leaders? We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Assistant to collaborate with our Credit: Retail Executive and Credit: Retail leadership teams to contribute to the success of our dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support: Work closely with the Group Executive and Leadership teams to provide seamless administrative support, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Calendar Management: Master the art of calendar coordination, scheduling meetings, and managing priorities to optimize leadership team productivity.
  • Communication Guru: Act as a primary point of contact, handling emails, calls, and inquiries with professionalism, confidentiality, and kindness.
  • Travel Logistics: Organize and coordinate complex travel itineraries, accommodation, and logistics for the team’s business trips.
  • Meeting Preparation: Support in preparing agendas, presentations and documentation for meetings. Ensure that the executive is well-prepared and informed.
  • Team Support: Provide people support through planning of team builds, Town Hall sessions and department conference.  Act as liaison for HR and IT tasks. 

The ideal candidate will have

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or similar role (5 years +).
  • General business / commercial understanding
  • Basic budgeting and payment principles and processes
  • External vendor and stakeholder management
  • Engaging at an Executive level
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Impeccable communication, interpersonal skills and a true passion for people and customer experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Discretion and confidentiality are paramount.
  • A Grade 12 National Certificate with a post-Matric qualification.

Experience

  • 4 years’ relevant experience in statistical analysis
  • Experience must include the following (within the Retail Credit Risk Management Environment):
    • Extracting and Aggregating Data from Large Relational Databases
    • Data Mining and Predictive Modelling

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Honours Degree in Mathematics or Data Science

Purpose Statement

  • Apply deep subject matter expertise and assume accountability for the design, development, testing and implementation of credit intelligence related standards, principles, methodologies and frameworks that guide the delivery of credit solutions and models.
  • Provide oversight on the validation of credit models, and ensure a strong scientific relationship exists between different credit models across an allocated portfolio / focus area.
     

Experience

Min:

  • 7-8 years’ experience in retail credit analysis (including programming in SQL / SAS / R / Python) of which 3 years should be portfolio specific experience.
  • Experience working with / contributing towards credit principles, policies, frameworks.
