Purpose Statement

  • To implement the Performance and Development practices within Capitec Bank
  • To mitigate risk through ensuring confidentiality, updating policies and procedures and reporting to the regulator. 
  • To build capability within the business through the following channels:
    • Continuous Improvement on the content for onboarding and leadership academy
    • Upskilling line managers through just in time micro learning interventions
    • Upskilling People Engagement Centre process and system
    • Upskilling HR Strategic People Partners on process and system

Experience

MINIMUM:

  • 3 – 5 years in talent management (inclusive of performance management as a key focus) or in a performance management role
  • Experience in delivering people solutions for large organisations, with a strong focus on enablement, change, systems, and data
  • Experience in working alongside internal and external stakeholders to execute complex projects and initiatives from start to end
  • Proven experience in relationship building / stakeholder management with business stakeholders

IDEAL:

  • 5+ years in a talent management role, in a Financial Services / Retail environment.
  • Experience in Human Resources practices across the employee value chain (Performance development, Talent management, etc.)
  • Advanced people and data analytics (PowerBI would be beneficial)
  • Previous SAP experience

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Project Management

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • Honours Degree in Psychology or Project Management

Knowledge

MINIMUM:

  • Performance Management processes and best practices
  • Data analytics, trend analyses
  • Research skills 
  • All legislation and regulatory requirements pertaining to people management practices in a banking environment Relevant Legislation (B-BBBEE, EEA)

About the role:

A Talent Acquisition Specialist is a pivotal figure in talent acquisition, responsible for for the end-to-end talent acquisition process and ensure the placement of the best talent and supporting the growing talent demand of the business.  In this role you are a passionate collaborator: consulting with various internal stakeholders and hiring managers on the best suited specialist talent strategy and champion a positive candidate experience. You will manage a seamless end to end Talent Acquisition process and  keep your HR System and applicant tracking tool updated daily.  

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A relevant degree in Psychology or Industrial Psychology
  • Working experience on SAP SuccessFactors
  • Experience working in a target driven environment.
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ end to end Talent Acquisition experience as a Specialist to Senior Management levels, within a Head Office environment and proven experience in:
    • Recruitment for niche skillsets  
    • Application of general HR processes, procedures and relevant legislation.
    • Candidate sourcing approaches and methods
    • Managing competency frameworks, assessment and feedback (assessment / feedback / development conversations)  
    • HR consulting

What you will be doing:

    • Managing and prioritizing multiple vacancies at any given time, within a high-pressure environment  
    • Utilizing an HR system for application tracking and full hiring cycle  
    • Competency based interviewing techniques.  
    • Candidate response handling and feedback  
    • The use and interpretation of role-based assessments
