Cato Ridge Crash Claims Five Lives… In the early hours of Sunday morning, Mi7 Emergency Medical Services responded to a tragic single-vehicle accident on Eddie Hagen Drive in Cato Ridge.
An ambulance based at Hibiscus Hospital Cato Ridge, along with an Advanced Life Support (ALS) rapid response vehicle, was immediately dispatched after receiving reports of a serious crash.
Upon arrival, Mi7 EMS teams were met with a devastating scene: a single vehicle had left the roadway and violently collided with a concrete structure on the roadside. The impact was so severe that four occupants were found deceased at the scene, their bodies thrown across the road and surrounding verge.

A fifth occupant, initially found in critical condition, went into cardiac arrest shortly after emergency teams arrived. Despite extensive resuscitation efforts by Mi7’s ALS paramedics, the patient was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
Cato Ridge Crash Survivor
One survivor, who sustained minor injuries, was treated, stabilised, and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
