Champions Trophy: When do the Proteas play again?
The Proteas could not have asked for a better start to their Champions Trophy campaign, with an impressive batting and bowling display ensuring they picked up a comfortable 107-run win over a dangerous Afghanistan team.
In-form Ryan Rickelton’s 103 was the bedrock of South Africa’s impressive batting score of 315/6, before Kagiso Rabada typically led from the front with the ball.
It was a great start for the Proteas, but they next face one of the real title contenders, Australia, on Tuesday in Rawalpindi. The match gets under way at 11:00 (SA time).

Meanwhile, Rickelton said even he was a little awestruck by his latest run of good form across all formats.
“If you had to ask me a few months ago would I be sitting here and things work out the way they do, I would obviously say no, but it’s kind of a point where I am just really trying to simplify my batting,” Rickelton said.
“I have quite a nice foundation and what I wanted to achieve at the moment. I always wanted to be a three-format player, so to have that base is quite nice, and to see that the results in the three different formats over the last two months has been quite warming for me as well.
