Appointment Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resources Management / Management / Business
Administration - 7 years’ experience, of which 3 years must be at middle management level; and 3 years in human
resource management discipline
Primary Function
Responsible for establishing and drive City Power productivity by developing and implementing strategies and drive initiatives to optimize City Power performance.
Key responsibilities
Participate in the formulation of Productivity Management plans and budgets. Understand and manage
interrelated processes as a system contributes to the organization`s effectiveness and efficiency in achieving its
intended results. Evaluate and comment on the applicability of specific key performance indicators and measures
against outcomes detailed in the department’s strategic plans. Analyse and align operating capacity and
capabilities of the division to deliver against compliance management specific key performance areas. Drive
productivity agenda within City Power to improve performance. Determine the performance measurement/
management framework, and the key performance indicators (KPIs). Assess productivity practices across
different groups and benchmark these against best industry standards. Prepare and submit for approval the
forecast of divisional budgets in line with departmental guidelines. Manage overall costs within the division,
against guidelines and take action where necessary. Monitor the utilisation of the budget within the division, to
ensure that expenditure is effectively managed and allocated efficiently. Monitor the strict adherence to
governance and setting high standards of professionalism within the City Power section. Ensure compliance with
statutory requirements, Treasury Regulations and reporting. Create an ethos of excellence, a disciplined work
ethic and a desire for continuous improvement within the department. Drive the safety of people and minimize
injury and the loss of productivity through ensuring fully completed Risk Assessment Form per assigned Task.
Approve short term targets in respect of SHEQ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which conform to City Power
standards, national legislation and accepted international norms. Create and maintain a collaborative relationship
between Shareholder, identified stakeholders and City Power. Initiate strategies to drive professional and
customer centric behaviours across the department.

Primary Function:
To manage the relationship between City Power and media representatives through an integrated media relations
program in support of strategic goals
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating and liaising with CoJ’s Regional Structures to promote service to promote service-oriented relations with
these structures. Coordinating and integrating cross functional processes and efforts from CP benefit of Stakeholders.
Providing inputs on stakeholder needs and business requirements. Informing Stakeholders about City Power plans
and business direction, involving stakeholders in project planning to ensure the attainment of the most suitable
completion date to the benefit of all parties. Identify and provide opportunities to support CoJ community initiatives
with CP and service advice. Facilitate communication on behalf of City Power to stakeholders by liaising with
shareholders and regulatory structures. Determining and formulating stakeholder requirements and needs.
Communicate organizational commitment in terms of provision of service. Building mutual trust at the stakeholder’s
interface. Set up query resolution Centre and calls management Centre. Improve capability to deal with all categories
of queries. Ensure the development, rollout and close out of customers satisfaction surveys for analytical purposes.
Driver customer education campaigns for all customer segments. Monitor service levels for Technical and NonTechnical query resolution. Improve the process of the turnaround time to meet NRS standards from application to
closeout. Establish and maintain relationships with journalists, reporters, and other media professionals. Serve as the
primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate responses. Develop and distribute press releases, media
advisories, and other communication materials. Develop and implement media strategies to promote the organization’s
goals and objectives. Identify media opportunities to enhance the organization’s public image and visibility. Monitor
media trends and advise on potential impacts to the organization. Prepare and deliver statements and responses to
the media. Develop crisis communication plans and conduct media training for key personnel. Oversee the creation
of media kits, press releases, speeches, and other communication content. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of
information shared with the media. Coordinate the production of multimedia content to support media relations efforts.
Monitor media coverage and analyze the impact of media activities. Prepare regular reports on media coverage and
public sentiment. Evaluate the effectiveness of media strategies and recommend improvements. Plan and coordinate
press conferences, media briefings, and other media events. Ensure proper logistics and setup for media engagement
activities. Provide on-site support during media events to manage media interactions. Conduct media training sessions
for executives and other spokespersons. Ensure all media communications comply with legal, ethical, and
organizational. Address any media-related issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

Primary Function
Responsible for establishing and drive City Power productivity by developing and implementing strategies and
drive initiatives to optimize City Power performance.
Key responsibilities
Collect and analyses data to improve HR strategies and processes. Increase the functional productivity and
workflow within Human Resources. Provide technical guidance and direction on the operation and maintenance of
the SAPHR systems. Perform system maintenance, including review, configuration, testing and implementation of
human resources information systems upgrades and/or patches. Defines, develops coordinates and executes on
the implementation of new automation to HR processes. Coordinate data cleanup projects and other benchmarks
efforts. Participate in various projects as identified in the HR & Transformation Strategy. Attend meetings regarding
SAP application and data accuracy. Prepare, maintain, and update employee data for the HR information system.
Work closely with the HR team to administer and support all HR system technologies and enhancements that
improve HR operational efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion at all
times. Assist in policy formulation relating to the division.
