What is the Clover YES Learnership Programme?
The Clover YES Learnership Programme is a fantastic opportunity for unemployed youth in South Africa to gain valuable work experience in Clover’s Production and Distribution Department. The programme lasts for 12 months, offering hands-on training and practical skills that will help you stand out in the job market. This programme is a partnership with the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative aimed at reducing youth unemployment in the country.
Successful candidates will be placed in Clover’s branches across South Africa, including locations like Clayville, CDC Cape Town, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, CDC KZN, Port Elizabeth, Queensburgh, and Atlas Distribution. Who Can Apply?

Duties and Responsibilities
Once selected, your role will involve a variety of tasks aimed at preparing you for the real work environment. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
1. Stock Management
- Control and monitor stock in the warehouse using the Warehouse Management System.
- Receive and dispatch stock to various locations.
- Ensure stock is in the right location and maintain accurate records.
- Prevent losses by ensuring stock is handled with care.
2. Warehouse System Maintenance
- Update the system with new and discontinued products.
- Link and set up scanners for product tracking.
- Ensure stock is placed in the correct location.
3. Housekeeping, Safety & Security
- Follow all safety regulations and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
- Ensure safety protocols are understood and followed by staff.
4. Boosting Warehouse Productivity
- Allocate team members to different tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Minimize time wastage and optimize the use of picking cages.
5. Administrative Duties
- Capture driver and truck documentation.
- Print invoices, load sheets, and manage reports.
- Track and follow up on arrival times for trucks and record deviations.
6. Handling Stock Orders and Parts
- Receive and store stock parts in the correct physical location.
- Count and maintain stock records.
- Process returns and handle stock paperwork accurately.
