This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of beverage manufacturing while also attaining a recognized qualification in Food and Beverage Packaging.
Job Description
The Packaging Learnership program is designed to develop learners within the food and beverage packaging environment. Participants will gain valuable insight into industry-leading practices and standards, ultimately contributing to their professional growth. Successful candidates will be required to report directly to the Training Controller and will receive comprehensive training aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills for the beverage manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.
Key Purpose of the Learnership
The core objective of this learnership is to provide recognition and further career mobility within the field of beverage packaging. Learners will work towards completing the National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging, NQF Level 3, enhancing their employability and skill set in this vital industry.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The learner will be exposed to a variety of critical processes and practices, including:
- Bottling Processes and Procedures: Understanding the entire bottling operation, from the initial stages to the final packaging of products.
- Safety and Housekeeping Standards: Learning about safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness throughout the workspace to promote a safe working environment.
- Quality Tests and Specifications: Gaining knowledge of various quality checks that ensure the products meet the company’s high standards.
- Food Handling Practices: Acquiring essential skills in safe food handling practices vital for maintaining product safety and quality.

Skills, Experience & Education Requirements
Qualifications
To be eligible for the Packaging Learnership, applicants must meet the following educational criteria:
- Grade 12: Must include Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy (passed at 40%) and Science (passed at 50%).
- Language Requirements: Two South African languages must be passed with a minimum of 40%.
Additional Requirements
- South African Citizenship is mandatory.
- Candidates must fall under the Employment Equity criteria.
- Applicants must have been unemployed at the time of applying.
- Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Commitment to the 12-month learnership program is essential.
