Job Purpose
To realize the Durban Film office’s mandate of positioning Durban as a strategic market entrant in on-location filming, by actively promoting film facilities and service available in Durban to a wide variety of audiences, and promote the status of the DFO as the “One-Stop-Shop” for all film related information in Durban.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Assists the departments in developing and managing the annual film services programmes in line with the Durban Film Office Business Plan.
- Maintains internal systems for comprehensive information dissemination regarding locations, permit requirements, policies, and general production information to both local and major film marketing.
- Development, maintenance and coordinating of all aspects of Durban Film Office service offerings.
- Provide input into policies and relationships that legitimize and enhance the aims and objectives of the film office.
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting on production data pertaining to film, TV, animation and commercials across eThekwini Municipality.
- Attends to administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of the functionality.

- Degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration or Public Management or any other related and equivalent qualification.
- 4 years relevant experience in the Film Industry.
