Robotic Technician

Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

A responsible person will be required to maintain robotic equipment and cover total maintenance of all manufacturing and plant equipment, and fault finding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and the modifications thereof.

POSITION DETAILS

  • To maintain the facility by completing all scheduled planned Maintenance – 100% completion
  • To identify all corrective maintenance activities and have a proactive approach – 100% completion.
  • Perform any mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and installation on Stamping equipment.
  • Manage effective approach to Emergency Maintenance (EM) downtime.
  • Effective root causes analysis towards downtime.
  • Proactive approach to Maintenance Operating System (MOS).
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operated properly and safely.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • +95% Equipment uptime
  • Reduce breakdown Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
  • 100% Area Preventative/Corrective Maintenance (PM/CM) Completion
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities in line with the Maintenance Operating System (MOS).
  • Undertake root cause analysis and ensure Permanent Corrective Actions (PCAs) are implemented.

Responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems. (Electrically, Mechanically)
  • Robot teaching and program modifications.
  • Robot Repair – Motor change, Gun zeroing, Load and save programs,
  • Program offset, Understand Fault codes, Internal harness change, Gear change process, Pc card change, and setup.
  • Proven Experience in Kuka Robots.
  • PLC fault finding and programming in ladder.
  • Know how to operate and program SCADA/HMI systems.
  • Gearbox, maintenance, and adjustments
  • Water test systems and filters.
  • Mechanical, Hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Knowledge and replacement of bearings, chains, and tensioners.

  • Fault finding knowledge using E-plan.
  • Proficient in transfer and hoist systems.
  • Knowledge and maintenance of Hydraulic equipment.
  • Knowledge and maintenance of Pneumatic equipment.
  • Fixture, tooling design, and manufacturing experience.
  • Assembly Jig optimization to drive quality improvement.

Vehicle Logistics Analyst

Job Description

This position is available in the Vehicle Logistics Department. The successful candidate with work closely with the Vehicle logistics supervisors and managers on actions to meet shipment targets for Exports by sea and Africa road exports. Managing the vessel booking process in GVDS and in the Auto ship systems. Ensure successful management of vehicle distribution with different Transport service providers to ensure maximum capacity is achieved for Exports and Domestic deliveries. He/she will be responsible for maintaining the information in the logistic database and identifying opportunities for inventory reduction. This person will be the lead for waste elimination and cost saving intiatives focusing on quality, innovation and automation (TVM)

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate daily shipment planning with Ford quality, Manufacturing, Finance teams and FTC-GLADS, GVDS, VMACS (Ford IT systems) support teams, Alliance Partner representatives, Transnet Port and Rail representatives, Ford yard operators, Surveyors in the port, Clearing Agents, vehicle distribution carrier companies, repair centers and dealers to ensure effective planning and execution of exports shipment.
  • Follows up with export customers to ensure vessel schedule files are received on time and uploaded in Auto Ship Plan to produce export shipment plan.
  • Effectively plan inland transport and secure capacity – Rail and road movement to the port based on the export shipment plan.
  • Co-ordinate with Ford exports analyst for joint inland logistics and port planning for Ford and Alliance partner vehicles.
  • Respond to export customer queries regarding Auto ship plan output and make necessary adjustments and re-run Auto ship plan report.
  • Ensure Vehicles that are not physically ready are placed on hold in GLADS and GVDS to run Auto ship plan effectively.
  • Coordinate with Vehicles logistics team and Transporters in the case capacity becomes a challenge for inland planning.
  • Support weekly / daily meeting for operations, plant and GLADS team.
  • Update vessel information in GVDS as per Auto ship plan report.
  • Resolve any system vs physical vin statuses in all systems for export vehicles.
  • Process commercial invoice and Final invoices in Eurovac for exports customs clearance and resolve any financial invoice issues.
  • Review reports for sailed Vin numbers and ensure un-sailed Vin numbers are planned by Auto ship plan for future vessel.
  • Prepare Monthly Sailed report to Finance and
  • Publish weekly, monthly, quarterly metrics reports to Ford Management
  • Escalates issues that require management attention within Ford and seek assistance in resolving issues.
  • Identify repetitive issues and leads solution to resolve issues.
  • Responsible for TVM process improvement and continuous improvement idea capturing in Wave tool, monitoring, tracking, reviewing with finance and booking of TVM targets for Vehicle Logistics TVM process.
  • Support and complete MCRP testing for local and IMG modules
  • Conduct weekly yard walk audits in Silverton and Weswood
  • Meet ETA timings as per the export customer requirements and prepare reports with reasons for not meeting ETA targets.
  • Track and Maintain KPI decks for vehicle distribution and yard management and set up KPI meetings with all LSPs
  • Support during stop shipments and launches

Qualifications

Lead Quality Engineer

Job Description

Lead a team of Technicians:

TCF Process Engineer

Job Description

Position Duties:

  • Manufacturing Process Engineering activity for Final Assembly.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.
  • Develop action plans as required to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verify corrective actions on internal processes and supplier processes.

Field Service Engineer

Job Description

The FSE is responsible for all technical concerns from the Rapid Hub he/she owns including all Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) escalations. The role also contains a training element as we engage with dealer technicians to provide on-the-job training and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & support dealer technicians to diagnose and resolve high ageing technical concerns which cannot be addressed through the TAC.
  • Provide technical support to TAC engineer / Zone Manager / CRC agent on litigation.
  • Summarize the cause of all concerns and submit a One-Pager within the agreed timelines after the dealer visit to flow information through to the relevant PVT engineering teams.
  • Lead Technical Audits, Skill Inventory analysis and PDI audits. On-the-job training to technicians for TSB, FSA, SSM, SST usage and diagnostic concerns.
  • Provide support and advice to Dealers with respect to, but not limited to, Ford technician training, Skill Mix, Technician competence, Special Service Tools and equipment requirements.
  • Support central SEO / PCE / PD / PVT teams on technical concern or fix validations, TSB corrections, workshop manual corrections and training contents corrections.
  • Support on Vehicle Off Road (VOR) / Rapid Hub / CRC initiatives on daily review of open/ageing concerns along with Cross-Functional Teams and address diagnostic related ageing concerns by guiding dealer technicians.
  • Support Fix It Right First Time by assisting dealers with a good technical diagnosis and workshop practice to provide robust fixes to customers.
