About Gift of the Givers Scholarship Bursary

Gift of the Givers is accepting applications for 2025 academic year Scholarship Bursaries.

Scholarships will be awarded to talented young individuals, from disadvantaged communities, for studies within the following fields:

  • Automotive, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering N4-N6
  • NCV Mechatronics L2/3/4

The scholarship will pave the way for careers within technical and engineering sectors, as well as apprenticeships in automotive and manufacturing sectors.

MORE OPPORTUNITIES:

There is no work-back obligation after graduation.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be from an under-resourced community
  • You must be currently in Matric (in 2024) or have completed Matric
  • You must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within one of the fields of study listed above
  • You must be studying or intend on studying at a TVET College in South Africa
  • You must NOT be receiving NSFAS funding

How to apply

Students who meet the above criteria, may apply via email to: mandy.mncwabe@giftofthegivers.org. Insert the following details in the email subject line: College Name & Course Name.

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your email application:

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Latest school report, if currently in High School (stamped by the school)
  • Provisional acceptance letter from TVET College, if not yet studying
  • 2024 academic record, if currently studying (stamped by the college)
  • Proof of registration/ enrollment, if currently studying
  • Financial/ fee statement, if currently studying
  • Proof of residence (stamped by a traditional council or municipal councillor)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Motivational letter to support your bursary application
