Guardrisk is inviting qualified candidates to apply for their Learnership Programme. This is your chance to gain valuable experience and earn a monthly stipend of R5,500 while building a career in insurance.

What is a Learnership?
A learnership is a structured program that blends theoretical learning with hands-on experience. This 12-month program will help you obtain a Short Term and Long Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification (accredited by INSETA and SAQA). Once completed, you’ll have essential skills to pursue a career in claims, operations, or other roles within the insurance industry.
While full-time employment isn’t guaranteed after completion, the experience you’ll gain will put you ahead of the competition in future job opportunities.
What Are the Requirements?
To qualify for this life-changing opportunity, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
Age: 18 to 25 years old (Only South African citizens can apply)
Education: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 certificate
Subjects Required:
- Pure Maths (at least 60%) OR Mathematical Literacy (at least 70%)
- English (at least 65%)
Employment Status: You must be currently unemployed.
First-time Learner: You must not have participated in any previous learnership.
Duties & Responsibilities
If you’re successful, you’ll be expected to complete classroom training, participate in on-the-job learning, and complete assessments. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll do during the learnership:
Process
- Attend classroom training sessions and apply the skills you learn on the job.
- Build an understanding of Guardrisk’s products, policies, and procedures.
- Keep a portfolio of evidence to document your learnings, which will be submitted to SETA.
- Maintain a logbook of daily work-based learning activities.
- Complete assessments to prove your understanding of course content.
- Use company systems effectively, understanding how business operations flow.
Client Relations
- Foster strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), maintaining high-quality service delivery.
- Offer solutions to improve customer service and create a positive experience for clients.
- Handle and resolve client queries, using feedback to improve processes.
People Skills
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Stay open to change and support new initiatives within the workplace.

Finance & Risk
