Special Conditions

Required to work extra hours as required for the purpose of the event.
The executive of any function as delegated by the Head of Department or immediate manager in
terms of power indicated in the relevant legislation and related to the functions of this post.

Job Purpose

Provides oversight and support to the Guest Relations Officer in respect of more complicated visitor
enquiries and tours.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Welcoming and hosting Visitors and Tour Operators
• Hosting Visitors on Stadium Attractions by ensuring that two way radios are in good working 
order to allow for good communication throughout the shift
• Leading visitor group on the tour route and providing information about the stadium at all 
interest points along the tour route
• Ensuring that the harnesses, platform key and indemnity forms are prepared prior to the 
tour department time
• Ensuring that the Exhibition centre is cleaned prior to opening at 9am
• Preparing all the equipment prior to the presentation by ensuring that everything is 
functioning
• Updating Tour Script and Presentation
• Conducts Checks of Routes and Sky car
• Administration and reporting by preparing daily shift report to give feedback on daily 
operation
• Assist at Events by preparing direct signage as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Tourism or Sports Management or any other related and equivalent
    qualification.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  • 2 years relevant experience in a Hospitality or Tourism environment.
  • Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements • 3 years relevant experience in a Hospitality or Tourism environment.
