Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says it is not in their interest to entertain “nonsense” about former spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s absence in the ongoing National People’s Assembly.

The Red Berets are holding their three-day elective conference at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.

HAS MBUYISENI NDLOZI BEEN SUSPENDED FROM THE EFF?

According to reports, In November, Ndlozi was banned from attending all EFF political activities. These include meetings of the party’s War Council, which met weekly as well as its Central Command Team (CCT).

Ndlozi was reportedly placed on leave of absence, preventing him from doing his job as a member of parliament.

In addition, the party’s former spokesperson was reportedly one of the members who knew about Malema’s former deputy and now uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party secretary-general Floyd Shivambu‘s departure.

On Saturday, 14 December, Malema told journalists that 90% of the people who were expected to be at the ongoing NPA are there and whoever isn’t wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place.

Malema said the EFF will not be reduced to an individual. The conference will go on without Mbuyiseni Ndlozi as is the case.

“He is not here. I heard people saying he is here he’s doing this…he’s not here! It’s not in our interest to entertain such nonsense. We’re dealing with political issues here not egoism, not people who think they are bigger than this organisation. It will show them once again that it is bigger than all of them.

“So, as a matter of principle and policy position, we’re no longer going to answer any nonsense about Mbuyiseni Ndlozi. Never! This matter is closed,” he said.
