Kaizer Chiefs playmaker Gaston Sirino will miss the Mamelodi Sundowns clash next weekend following his red card.

The 33-year-old Uruguayan was sent off during Chiefs’ 4-1 defeat against SuperSport United. With Amakhosi trailing Matsatsantsa, Sirino received two yellow cards in a space of nine minutes to leave his side one man short.

Since arriving in South Africa seven years ago, the South American winger has been sent off a total of four times. Sirino will now miss Kaizer Chiefs’ important league clash against Sundowns next weekend.

Amakhosi fans were not pleased with their star player’s behaviour which led to him getting a red card. Having just returned to action after an injury, Sirino will now miss another match due to suspension. Some X(Twitter) users joked that the Chiefs winger deliberately got himself sent off to avoid facing his old team.

Sirino will not be available for selection against Sundowns

@mamkhulu wrote: “Sirino asked for it, there was no reason for such behaviour. After receiving the red card he behaves right away. He didn’t want to be humiliated by Sundowns, now we know.

“Nabi once Sirino is booked take him out next time…Boyz didnt come to the party today, Cross must not make the matchday squad and must be released end of the season, bring back Sam and Dove for Sundowns games otherwise Cele and Dortley are our best players man,” tweeted @Mpillow.

Gaston Sirino has already faced his old team Mamelodi Sundowns this season and it didn’t end well for him. He has scored three goals and assisted five times in the 15 matches he played across all competitions this season.

He wanted to miss that😂😂😂
