About Idwala Lime Community Bursary

Idwala Lime is currently accepting applications for 2025 academic year Community bursaries.

Idwala Lime, a leading producer and supplier of industrial minerals and lime, is committed to social responsibility and community development.

As part of this commitment, Idwala Lime is offering bursaries for top-performing students who are planning to study or are currently studying at reputable South African universities or technical colleges.

For the year 2025, Idwala Lime will provide Community bursaries for core disciplines such as Chemistry, Mining, Engineering, and other related fields. This presents a great opportunity for students residing within a 200 km radius of Danielskuil.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must reside in Danielskuil or within a 200 km radius.
  • Must have registered at a public South African institution of higher learning by the time the bursary is awarded.
  • Preference will be given to applicants from designated groups.

Academic Criteria:

  • Must have achieved a minimum of 60% in all major subjects in the National Certificate.
  • Must provide official academic results for the 2024 academic year.

  • Tuition fees.
  • Book allowances.
  • Meal and accommodation costs, depending on the availability of funds.

How to apply

To apply for the bursary, candidates need to submit the following documents:

  • Application Form: Include a motivation letter.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • National Certificate: Must show passes of 60% and above in all major subjects.
  • Proof of Enrollment: Acceptance letter from the public tertiary institution.
  • Certified Copy of South African ID: Valid identity document.
  • Proof of Residence: Documentation proving your residential address.
  • Proof of Income: From parents or guardians, or an affidavit if applicable.
  • Disclosure of Other Financial Support: List any other sources of financial support.

  • By Hand: Deliver to the Human Resource Department of Idwala Lime.
