management capacity within the District. - Promoting the recruitment, training and participation of DM Volunteers in disaster management by
process of selection to maintain an acceptable standard of performance. - Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of all disaster risk reduction interventions to ensure that
there are in line with some of the best Provincial, National and International best practices. - Providing mechanisms to ensure that the District Communication System is utilized to log, capture,
monitor and evaluate al) incidents and disasters. - Utilizing the District Communication System to disseminate Early Warnings Information (from Agencies
such as South African Weather Service) to ensure that there is prevention and mitigation against major
incidents and disasters. - Compiling weekly and monthly Work-Plans to ensure that all monthly SDBIP targets are understood
and achievable. - Consolidating Monthly Incident Report with statistics to ensure that the District Risk Profile is updated
on an ongoing basis.
