Jayden Adams set for Bafana Bafana return?
Mamelodi Sundowns’ latest recruit, Jayden Adams, was exiled from Bafana Bafana last October for disciplinary issues.
Shortly after the MTN8 Cup final, the then Stellenbosch star failed to show up to camp on time, while teammate Fawaaz Basadien did – Bafana coach Hugo Broos took swift action, sending Adams home, and he hasn’t featured since.
Will Adam’s return?
The Belgian-born coach clarified that “the punishment won’t last forever”.
And with Adam’s startling form, he will likely be included in Bafana Bafana’s upcoming games against Lesotho (March 21) and Benin (March 25).
Broos on Mofokeng’s future
Broos believes Bafana Bafana winger Relebohile Mofokeng will flock South Africa in the offseason:
“Talking about Mofokeng, I just hope that he makes the right decisions. And that he is not going to a team where he won’t play,” Broos told iDiski Times.
“I see all the things around, Barcelona and Rangers and… (sighs) I’m a little bit afraid. I just hope that the people around make the choice of the best sportive solution and not the best financial solution.”
“Okay, I think his parents want the best for him, that’s for sure. But there is another guy who wants to win a lot of money also, but that’s the problem. But ok, let’s hope, maybe I talked too soon about that,
“We’ll see. I think in June, Rele will not be a player of Orlando Pirates anymore, but a good choice is very important.”
Orlando Pirates recently rejected a R25.8 million bid for the Bafana star in January, which could be the first of several significant bids made for the 20-year-old.
