Position Overview: Manager, Digital Fundraising

CARE seeks a dynamic and visionary Manager, Digital Fundraising to take charge of our digital fundraising efforts. This role is vital in driving impactful fundraising campaigns, inspiring individual and corporate donors, and ultimately funding our humanitarian work aimed at saving lives, combating poverty, and achieving social justice. You will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of a wide range of digital fundraising initiatives, including website fundraising, cryptocurrency engagement, and gaming strategies—all while testing and exploring new fundraising techniques. A self-starter mentality will serve you well, as you will lead digital fundraising strategies and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners for successful outcomes. You will be part of a talented, motivated, and friendly team committed to elevating overall fundraising initiatives and providing an exceptional donor experience.

Key Responsibilities

Website Fundraising

  • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Fundraising and Advertising to devise and execute strategies for CARE.org, aiming to raise approximately $3M in support of our international programs.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create compelling creative assets for the CARE.org homepage and donation pages, including Hero sections, banners, lightboxes, and donation buttons.
  • Partner with the Assistant Manager of Production to ensure timely completion of donation pages for campaigns and appeals, as well as manage requests for source codes.
  • Represent digital fundraising in working groups aimed at optimizing donor-centric experiences and increasing the long-term value of our donor relationships.

Mobile Fundraising

  • Assist the Director of Digital Fundraising and Advertising in developing strategies to raise $80K through mobile fundraising efforts, including SMS, MMS, and donation pages.
  • Drive the strategic planning process for mobile giving fundraising campaigns, scheduling content creation that aligns with fundraising goals.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Manager of Production to ensure all campaign-related donation pages meet timelines and quality standards.

Fundraising Reporting and Management

  • In coordination with senior management, report on key performance indicators (KPIs) while analyzing revenue reports for both immediate and long-term value.
  • Utilize insights to inform strategic decisions intended to optimize and enhance the effectiveness of our fundraising programs.
  • Manage tracking of digital fundraising expenses, assist with requests for proposals (RFPs), and engage in the internal contracting process.
  • Organize agendas and maintain action steps from relevant meetings, ensuring that all tasks progress smoothly.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in digital fundraising leading to measurable revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating comprehensive digital fundraising strategies, including audience targeting and campaign planning across various platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop business plans and successfully pitch ideas to senior leadership for buy-in.
  • Strong collaborative mindset; proficient in working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to strengthen strategies and overcome challenges.
  • Proficiency in data management and analytics, including competency in utilizing tools like Google Analytics and CRM platforms for performance tracking and reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with proven ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and drive initiatives forward with confidence.
  • A demonstrated passion for CARE’s mission and a creative, energetic approach to fundraising.
