The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our communications and marketing team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in promoting the vision and mission of the ACGE while developing essential skills in communications, marketing, and advocacy in the field of sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Assist in writing, editing, and curating content for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Social Media Management: Help manage and grow our social media presence by creating engaging posts, monitoring interactions, and analyzing metrics to improve outreach.
- Marketing Campaigns: Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns aimed at raising awareness about our initiatives and activities.
- Research: Conduct research on emerging trends in green economies, sustainable practices, and effective communication strategies worldwide.
- Event Support: Help coordinate webinars, workshops, and other events designed to educate and engage stakeholders in discussions about the green economy.
Requirements
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in social media platforms, and basic knowledge of digital marketing tools. Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Passion: A strong interest in sustainability, environmental issues, and the principles of a green economy.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment and contribute positively to group projects.
- Self-Starter: A proactive attitude, capable of taking initiative and managing multiple tasks effectively.
