We are looking for a Cashier to join our team! As a Cashier, your role involves delivering fast and friendly service, processing orders, handling payments, and performing additional tasks as required.


What you’ll do

This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.

  • Welcome customers with a friendly smile
  • Suggest items, specials, and promotions to customers
  • Handle customer complaints, queries, and concerns, telling the manager about serious problems
  • Give great customer service with a positive attitude
  • Talk about store events and keep the checkout area clean and organized
  • Communicate with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
  • Use the cash register or computer to ring up orders correctly
  • Process different forms of payment, including cash, debit cards, and credit cards
  • Balance the cash register, perform cash counts, and monitor cash levels
  • Bag, box, or wrap products
  • Follow company rules, ways of working, and store standards
  • Receive, verify, and unpack new stock
  • Process refunds and exchanges
  • Open new customer accounts and collect required information
  • Stock shelves, sort and reshelve returned items, and mark prices on items and shelves

Requirements

  • Experience: Cashier, Customer Service
  • Within 20km from job
  • Clear criminal record
