Kaizer Chiefs: Ex-players worth R16 million set to return to Naturena?

Kaizer Chiefs are considering bringing back a couple of home grown talents to Naturena.

Kaizer Chiefs are planning some exciting squad acquisitions.

Moreover, this R6-million ex-Amakhosi player is linked with a return to Naturena. Meanwhile, another Chiefs product worth R5 million – R10 million is also being considered.

CHIEFS CONSIDERING BRINGING HOME GROWN TALENT BACK

Lungelo Bhengu was released from Chiefs back in 2019.

Thereafer, he joined PSL rivals Maritzburg United. Now, fast forward six years to 2025 and Amakhosi are interested in bringing their own graduate back to Naturena.

“The interest is there but now they have to consider the money that they will pay. You know he was in their development until 2019 when he left to join Maritzburg United. Actually he was released and unfortunately they want him back now and it will cost the, more money,” the report read on SNL.

Furthermore, Chiefs would reportedly have to pay between R5m to R10m to sign him.

“From what I know, his price ranges from between R5m to R10m but it’s subject to negotiations, You should remember he is only 24 years old and he has a great future ahead of him. So let’s wait and see,” the insider added on the same publication.

EX-AMAKHOSI STAR WANTED BACK

Puso Dithejane left Chiefs recently after a ball boy incident.

An incident which resulted in the club releasing Dithejane immediately. However, Amakhosi management wants to let bygones be bygones. So, Chiefs want to bring Dithejane back to Naturena in the future.

“You remember the Sporting Director talked about short term and long term plans?” an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“One of the long term plans is believed to be working on bringing Puso (Dithejane) back to the team in the off season. We are all human and we make mistakes, and, so what if the team made a mistake and they want the player back?” he added.

Meanwhile, Dithejane is currently valued at roughly R6-million. Meaning, Chiefs will have to fork out over R10 million (between R11 million and R16 million) to bring back two of their home grown talents.
