The January transfer window is fast approaching with several Kaixzer Chiefs stars likely heading out.
Kaizer Chiefs will be undergoing big changes to their squad in January.
Moreover, as many as SIX players are linked with departures. This is subject to change in the coming weeks as the next PSL transfer window draws near.
FULL LIST OF CHIEFS PLAYERS HEADING OUT OF NATURENA
- Thatoyaone Ditlhokwe
- Zitha Kwinika
- George Matlou
- Adson Castillo
- Ranga Chivaviro
- Christian Saille
DEFENSIVE DUO DROP DOWN PECKING ORDER
Currently, Edmilson Dove is on his way back to returning to Chiefs.
Meaning, they will have to let go of a foreign-based player. This is due to the fact that they already have the maximum of five foreign players in their squad.
So, when Dove returns they will have six. Therefore, they will have to let go of one of them.
Ditlhokwe is the man likeliest to leave. He has struggled for game time under Nabi and this is unlikely to change. He currently sits behind Rushwin Dortley, Inacio Miguel and Given Msimango.
Meanwhile, Chiefs are looking at giving Aden McCarthy a chance to play for the first team. So, Ditlhokwe is likely to leave. Moreover, Kwinika finds himself in the exact same boat regarding the pecking order and lack of playing time. He could also leave.
ATTACKERS FACE LIKELY EXITS
Chiefs have decided that they will be releasing Matlou in January, as reported on The South African.
Whilst, Castillo and Chivaviro face uncertain futures.
“The situation is a bit tricky for Edson (Castillo) now. At first they had offered to extend his contract but then things have changed after his injury, with the player also expressing the desire to leave after his contract runs out. That’s almost the same situation with Ranga (Chivaviro),” SNL reported.
Additionally, Saile was set to leave in the recent transfer window. He survived the cut after Amakhosi failed to sign any new attackers.
However, he has not done much to improve his chances of staying. In fact, he has even been dropped by Nabi in Chiefs’ recent PSL fixtures. So, with Amakhosi set to sign an attacker or two, Saile will likely be heading out of Naturena.
