Kaizer Chiefs reignite interest in R8.6 million attacker
Kaizer Chiefs are being linked with several attacking options even though the transfer window is currently shut.
Kaizer Chiefs targeting Thikazi
Chiefs have reopened their interest in 25-year-old wide attacker Mfundo Thikazi from Royal AM. He’s managed an assist in five Betway Premiership appearances this term.
“Yes, it’s not the first time Chiefs have shown interest in him. But in the past things were not finalized but as the way things are going now and looking at Royal AM’s situation, his move to Chiefs is possible. It could happen at the end of the season. Things are looking good and it could be good for the player as well,” a source stated on SNL.
Revealed: Why Chiefs sold Ditlhokwe
According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs received an offer for Botswana defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe that was too good to refuse. It was also in the best interests of the player, who needs regular game time before Afcon 2025 in Morocco.
“The feeling is that he was not happy with not being a regular. He also felt that he didn’t have the trust of the new technical team. He was not even played in his preferred position sometimes, which is part of the reason he wasn’t happy,” an insider told Citizen.
Injury update from Naturena
Five players are currently on the treatment table which you can see listed below. Yusuf Maart sat out Chiefs’ win over Chippa with suspension but returned for the 1-4 defeat at SuperSport. Next up for Amakhosi is a daunting trip to Sundowns on 01 March.

- Ashley Du Preez
- Edmilson Dove
- Dillan Solomons
Will the board regret their decision to sell Thatayaone Ditlhokwe?
