Kaizer Chiefs set to sign Pirates legend Thembinkosi Lorch!

In a move that will shake the local football scene alive, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly close to signing Thembinkosi Lorch from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Lorch has endured a difficult spell at Mamelodi Sundowns, making just two starts for the club so far this season.

According to the latest reports, Kaizer Chiefs are ready to take advantage of Lorch’s situation at Chloorkop by offering him a way out.

The former Orlando Pirates star remains one of the biggest names in the local game and will undoubtedly give the Amakhosi a huge boost should they land him.

Kaizer Chiefs make Thembinkosi Lorch signing a priority

According to a bombshell report by Sunday World, Kaizer Chiefs are deep in negotiations with Mamelodi Sundowns over the signature of Thembinkosi Lorch.

“In what is likely to be another January transfer move of the season, Sunday World has it in good authority that Kaizer Chiefs are indeed working hard behind the scenes and engaging in talks with Mamelodi Sundowns for the signing of Thembinkosi Lorch,” the publication reported.

“Talks between the Naturena boys and Terrence Mashego have apparently hit a snag over the selling price. Lorch, who made a surprise switch from Orlando Pirates to Sundowns in January last year, is likely to be making another move that could shock the entire SA football fraternity.”

Kaizer Chiefs are working hard to bring some top quality new additions to Naturena before the transfer window shuts close next week.

The Glamour Boys have struggled to hit the ground running under Nasreddine Nabi.

And reports suggest management are adamant he’s still the man for the job, with the right players.

Kaizer Chiefs are close to signing a number of attackers however that’s not the only department the club are looking to bolster up.

Two defenders linked with Chiefs moves

According to the latest reports, Kaizer Chiefs are considering a move for 20-year-old TS Galaxy left-back Samukelo Kabini.

The Orlando Pirates academy graduate has been a surprise top performers for The Rockets this season, making 15 appearances, scoring two goals!

Furthermore according to Soccer Laduma, 23-year-old Bolivian defender Marcelo Suarez has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs.

Suarez is a central defender however, he is capable of playing out at left-back as well and comes with Copa America experience.
