Kaizer Chiefs tie down star midfielder on a new deal!

Kaizer Chiefs have secured the services of star midfielder Edson Castillo for next season with an option to renew.

This was confirmed by Castillo’s agent Mauricio Andrade to iDiski Times, ending speculation of his client’s possible departure from Chiefs.

Castillo was one of many Chiefs players whose contracts expire in June, but he can now focus on getting back to the pitch without worrying about his future.

He has not featured for Amakhosi since suffering that horrific injury against SuperSport United in October 2024.

“I can confirm that Edson will stay for another season, he has renewed his contract with Chiefs and there is also an option to continue for another year,” said Andrade.

“Edson is very happy with his extension as it was his desire to continue with club for next years to come. He is committed to help the team win trophies.”
