Kaizer Chiefs are linked with one of own products. So, will he return to Naturena?

Kaizer Chiefs are yet again considering bringing one of their own players back to the club.

Moreover, Amakhosi is also considering re-signing this fan-favourite.

CHIEFS CONSIDERING BRINGING ORIGINAL PRODUCT BACK

Lungelo Bhengu left the Chiefs academy back in 2019 to join PSL rials, Maritzburg United.

However, now Amakhosi management wants to see him back at Naturena.

“The interest is there but now they have to consider the money that they will pay. You know he was in their development until 2019 when he left to join Maritzburg United. Actually he was released and unfortunately they want him back now and it will cost the, more money,” the report read on SNL.

Meaning, Chiefs will have to spend millions to bring him back.

“From what I know, his price ranges from between R5m to R10m but it’s subject to negotiations, You should remember he is only 24 years old and he has a great future ahead of him. So let’s wait and see,” the insider added on the same publication.

This isn’t the first time that they are considering re-signing back their own products for more.

SECOND FORMR PLAYER LINKED WITH AMAKHOSI

Remember Puso Dithejane?

The talented ex-Chiefs star was released due to issues with a ball boy. However, Amakhosi have done a full U-turn on their former player. So, now they want to re-sign him.

“You remember the Sporting Director talked about short term and long term plans?” an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“One of the long term plans is believed to be working on bringing Puso (Dithejane) back to the team in the off season. We are all human and we make mistakes, and, so what if the team made a mistake and they want the player back?” he added.

Therefore, two Chiefs products – one academy graduate and an ex player are currently in Amakhosi’s transfer plans.
