Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Frosler opens up on his future
Kaizer Chiefs utility player Reeve Frosler has opened up on his future at the club with his contract set to expire in June.
This means Frosler, having entered the final six months of his existing contract with Chiefs, is eligible to sign a pre-contract with a club of his choice.
However, the 27-year-old appears to be more focused on the job he needs to do at Chiefs than what could happen ahead of next season.
Having proven to be one of Nasreddine Nabi’s trusted soldiers to date, expectations are that Frosler will stay.
Furthermore, the fact that he is considered one of the senior players aged below 30 years of age could be an advantage.
Frosler joined Chiefs as a young promising defender in 2019 from the now defunct Bidvest Wits.
Nonetheless, he hasn’t achieved anything huge with Chiefs in terms of winning trophies except reaching the CAF Champions League final.
In that CAF Champions League final, Chiefs were beaten 3-0 by African powerhouse Al Ahly with Stuart Baxter in charge.
Now, with the Betway Premiership title seemingly out of reach, Chiefs’ only hope of silverware this season is the Nedbank Cup.
Chiefs have been pitted against lower division side Free Agents FC in the Nedbank Cup Last 32.
KAIZER CHIEFS STAR FROSLER ON HIS FUTURE
“You said to me my contract is finishing end of the season, so I’ve got the next few months to stay fully focused, and continue doing my job at the club,” Frosler told reporters on Thursday.
“The rest of us all got to do our jobs, try to get the best possible results for us as a team.
“I play to have a good six months and a team may achieve everything that needs to achieve and that we achieve as a unity,” added Frosler.
SHOULD HE BE KEPT?
