Kaizer Chiefs transfers: Ramiro Vaca, Zitha Kwinika, Wandile Duba
Kaizer Chiefs are getting busy as the January transfer market takes centre stage in South African football in 2025.
Saviour against Stellies gets a new deal
According to Soccer Laduma, Chiefs have huge faith in Wandile Duba and are willing to tie the young attacker down to a new three-year deal. Born in June 2004, Duba scored his first senior career goal in March 2024 as a 19-year-old. It was a winner against Golden Arrows and it was an absolute screamer. Fast-forward to 2024-2025 and he scored a brace to help Chiefs to a 2-1 win over Stellenbosch on Wednesday night. That got the Glamour Boys back on track and into fifth place in the Betway Premiership.
Who is Ramiro Vaca?
25-year-old Bolivian midfield maestro Ramiro Vaca has been in sparkling form. In the 2024 Division Profesional Clausura season, he bagged a stunning 13 assists and seven goals from 27 appearances. That’s 20 direct goal contributions coming at a rate of 0.74 direct goal contributions per outing. Those are numbers to get anybody excited, not least of which the strikers he might be supplying chances for in the final third.

Long-serving Kwinika to leave Chiefs
Kwinika to leave Kaizer Chiefs after a second stint
Kwinika, astonishingly, is the only remaining player in the Chiefs squad who was with the club when they won the league in 2015, aside from the outgoing Itumeleng Khune. Loan him out for the rest of the current campaign and the club will save R2.22 million in wages should his new club take that salary on board, as is customary.
