Job Overview

Oil sampling for analysis and vibration data collection for analysis and routine testing on Continuous Miners monthly as well as assisting with the Machine Condition Assessment inspections.

Key Job Responsibilities

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

Ensure that the oil samples are sampled according to schedule;
Ensure that vibration data is collected as per schedule;
Ensure that relevant safety standards are applied;
Assist CMS technician onsite with condition monitoring duties.

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum Skills and experience required

Grade 12;
Oil sampling for analysis;
Vibration data collection for analysis;
Basic understanding of all condition monitoring equipment such as the data collector and sample pumps;

Understanding the proper sampling procedures;
Basic understanding of oil and vibration analysis report;
Sound understanding of all mine standards and procedures;
Experience on Joy/Underground machines will be an advantage
