Job Description: Are you looking for an exciting new career? We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Code 10 Learner Truck Driver. No experience is required, as we provide the necessary training and support to help you succeed. You will be responsible for operating a code 10 truck and delivering vegetables to various markets and clients. Your character and willingness to learn are what we value most.

Must already possess a valid code 8 license with a clean criminal record.

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a code 10 truck for vegetable deliveries (under supervision while you learn).
• While learning to drive a large truck, you must also be able to drive bakkies and other vehicles.
• Ensure that the truck is in good and safe condition.
• Complete delivery documentation.
• Communicate with clients regarding delivery times and requirements.
• Pay attention to the delivery routine and networks.
• Load and pick up produce from various farms.

Position Requirements: Critical Requirements:

• Minimum valid code 8 (B or EB) driver’s license.
• Reliable and responsible attitude.
• Physically capable of assisting with loading and unloading goods.

Advantageous Requirements:

• Any experience in delivering vegetables or food products is a bonus, but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and a problem-solving approach.
• Integrity.
• Humility and willingness.

• Driving skills and attention to detail.
• Time management and a positive attitude.

• A driver must be respectful towards management and the company’s clients, as some clients can be difficult at times.

• No drugs or dishonesty.
• Must have a clean criminal record.
• Improper behavior or driving will not be tolerated.
• Bad language or any negative gossip is not part of the company culture.

Work Environment: Description: This position requires a strong work ethic. The driver must be willing to work in various weather conditions and sometimes extend hours to complete deliveries.

Workplace: Between Donkerhoek and Rayton
Workplace Region: Local delivery routes (Gauteng)

Notice Period:

• Employment date: After successfully completing 2 interviews.

Working Hours & Days:

• 40 to 45 hours per work week
• Fixed work week

Leave:

• 1 day leave for every 17 days worked
• 30 sick leave days in a 3-year cycle

Notice Period:

• 1 week if less than 6 months worked
• 2 weeks if more than 6 months but less than a year worked
• 4 weeks if longer than a year worked

Compensation for Services:

• Monthly salary, depending on the candidate’s profile.
