‘Live without limits’: Orlando Pirates legend flaunts expensive Jeep [photos]

Orlando Pirates legend Lucky Legwathi has a soft spot for some of the world’s flashiest cars and has a fleet to show for it.

The former Orlando Pirates star lives lavishly thanks to his illustrious career, which spanned years. With his huge social media following, he often trends whenever he posts or gets posted.

Lucky Lekgwathi is trending because of his recent Instagram post. Taking to the picture-sharing app, the Pirates legend shared photos of himself posing next to his monstrous Jeep.

Petrolheads were quick to give the car a nod. After all, this is not the first time he has been spotted with the white Jeep Wrangler. The car boasts extras and modifications that make it stand out.

However, it also bears a logo similar to the Orlando Pirates logo, which says, ‘Live Without Limits.’ After all, Lucky Lekgwathi was also spotted wearing Orlando Pirates’ recently launched vintage sweater.

Against the trends. The publication has since connected the dots about Lucky Lekgwathi’s car price tag. Several old models have a base price tag of R800 000 in several authorised dealerships in the country.

However, other old customised models are listed for around R1.2 million. The current expensive Jeep Wrangler, a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 5.7l V8, is listed for R1.8 million.

Surprisingly, a 2025 Unlimited 2.0t Rubicon is priced at R1.3 million.

After all, the former Orlando Pirates star joins a host of former Premier Soccer League players who have splurged thousands, if not millions, on the flashiest cars in the world.

Former Kaizer Chiefs star and Mamelodi Sundowns coach Steve Khomphela recently topped trends after he was spotted taking a spin with a sleek black convertible Lamborghini Spyder Auto Gallardo.

OTHER FLASHIEST CARS

The Orlando Pirates legend has also been spotted driving around several cars, including a Land Rover Discovery 4.

However, many believe he has a soft spot for 4x4s and similar cars. Last year, he was spotted taking a spin in a classic Toyota Conquest, which was made and marketed in South Africa.

Lucky Lekgwathi reportedly also owns a Porsche 911. The former Orlando Pirates star has also shown a knack for test driving, having previously tested the Jaguar F-Type.
