MAKRO is looking for suitably qualified candidates to apply for their Merchandiser vacancies (fixed-term contract – 6 months). If you’re passionate about retail, sales, and customer service, this could be your big break!

What You’ll Be Doing as a Merchandiser
Your job is to make sure the store looks good, products are displayed properly, and customers can find what they need. Here’s what a typical day will look like:

Stock Counting & Displaying – Make sure shelves are stocked and products are easy to find Unpacking Stock – Document all new stock received Creating Attractive Displays – Use creativity to arrange products in a way that attracts customers Stock Monitoring – Keep track of what’s selling fast and what needs restocking Product Placement – Remove damaged or expired items and replace them with fresh stock Customer Assistance – Help shoppers find products and answer their questions Store Maintenance – Keep your area clean, tidy, and well-organized
Who Can Apply?
To qualify, you must meet these basic requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent Experience in Merchandising, Sales, or Customer Service Fluent in English Live within 15km of the job location Clear criminal record Own a smartphone with at least 10GB of storage Willing to travel between stores in your area
Bonus Points If You Have: Previous retail or merchandising experience Strong communication skills (written & verbal) Ability to work well in a team
