Manchester United chasing African prodigy to replace Rashford!
Manchester United, under the guidance of Ruben Amorim, is aiming to reshape its squad in the upcoming January transfer window.
One of the players on their radar is 22-year-old Mali international Dorgeles Nene, who has been signed to Red Bull Salzburg since 2021, during which he has done loan stints at FC Leifering, SV Ried and Westerlo.
The versatile attacking midfielder has four goals and five assists in fourteen games this season and is expected to be Manchester United’s replacement for the underperforming Marcus Rashford.
Mamelodi Sundowns to sign Bafana striker?
Another European-based African player being monitored is Lebo Mothiba, who has been recently spotted at a Mamelodi Sundowns training session, where he is believed to be on trial.
“Bafana Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba has resurfaced at Mamelodi Sundowns after Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club snubbed him,” a source confirmed.
“FARPost can confirm the striker was seen at Chloorkop on Sunday morning ahead of a potential move. Mothiba trained with Masandawana players who didn’t make the trip to DRC for Saturday’s CAF Champions League clash against AS Maniema Union. The defending South African champions rallied from behind to beat the Congolese outfit 2-1.
“Sundowns and Mothiba’s management team are expected to engage in discussions on his personal terms in the coming days. He recently recovered from a knee injury and has been without a club since leaving French side Strasbourg early in 2024. He was linked with several clubs, including a potential return to Europe.”
