WORK DESCRIPTION:
The Process Engineer will be required to assess client requirements to compile scope of work definitions for new projects. This will be done in close collaboration with the client. The engineer will be expected to drive the engineering and design of modifications to solve existing plant operation problems and/or support project objectives. The engineer will also perform level 3 quality assurance on engineering performed in the Process groups. The work will involve the use of various software tools and will also require the engineer to perform calculations from first principles. Also, project execution and process support during detail design and construction phases and working closely with other engineering disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of B Eng/BSc Eng degree in Chemical Engineering (4-year full time study).
- Assistant Engineer with 0-2 years’ experience.
- Engineer with 2-4 years’ experience.
- Senior Engineer with 4-8 years’ experience.
- Good problem solving, conceptual and high-level scope definition skills.
- Experience in basic and detail process design.
- In depth understanding of process principles and integration between different engineering disciplines.
- Design experience preferably in the petrochemical and/or refinery design environment (minimum 3 years).
- Good knowledge of simulation software tools (ASPEN, HYSYS, AFT Fathom etc.)
- Good leadership, planning and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal and client relations with the ability to market services.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must timeously deliver assignments.
- Be able to work independently and in a team.
- Good listening, communication and report writing skills in the English language.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport (Code B/EB).
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS

WORK DESCRIPTION:
Supporting the project teams with electrical engineering and design. Preparation of works information and equipment technical specifications for the procurement and installation of equipment and services. Performing detail electrical engineering and design of single discipline projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B Eng / BSc Eng degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA will be an advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering on MV / LV type projects relating to industrial plants.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the petrochemical environment.
- Experience in detail design, engineering calculations and specification of equipment / networks. Candidates to demonstrate their abilities by means of examples.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements related to industrial and/or petrochemical plants.
- First-hand experience of driving to get tasks done. Be able to share by means of examples.
- Organizational skills, ability to work independently and in a team, self-disciplined & self-motivated.

SENIOR IR LIAISON/COORDINATOR

- Minimum Grade 12.
- Minimum five years’ experience in Industrial Relations in the Petrochemical industry.
- Related tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Social Sciences will be an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and coordination of the IR function in the company based on Clients’ IR specifications (including IR officers in the company and its subcontractors).
- Monitors Industrial Relations trends and recommends remedial action to be taken to ensure a positive IR environment between all Stakeholders.
- Advises on the interpretation and application of relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

WORK DESCRIPTION:
Engineers will be exposed to the detail design and engineering of plant control systems and of solutions to problems experienced with plant processes in the petrochemical field. Handling technical and engineering challenges that may arise from instrumentation field work being carried out. Assisting with drafting of technical specifications for procurement of services and equipment from suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum qualification of a B Eng/BSc Eng degree in Chemical, Mechatronic or Electronic Engineering.
- 0-2 years’ experience as a Control and Instrumentation Engineer in the petrochemical environment.
- An affection for detail design and drafting abilities in the process control environment will be an advantage.
- Above average insight into the operation of plants and equipment. Candidates demonstrate their abilities by means of examples and their ability to explain this with the help of on-the-spot freehand sketches.
- First-hand experience of driving to get tasks done. Be able to share by means of examples.
- Leadership and organizational skills, be able to work independently and in a team, self-starter, “go-getter”.
- Good interpersonal relations with the ability to market services.
- Good report writing skills in the English language.
- Good communication skills with the ability to comprehend explanations of complex systems and problem statements.
- Ability to climb on ladders and equipment up to 120m high and to enter confined spaces..
- Organized and self-disciplined.
- Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B / EB) and the ability to drive vehicles with manual transmission.
