Shoprite Bethlehem and Checkers Goldfied are looking for a Merchandiser. As a Merchandiser, you’ll ensure that store shelves are stocked with the right products, presented attractively, and priced to draw customer interest and drive sales. Essentially, you’ll help make the store visually appealing and boost product sales.

Key Details of the Role

This position requires travel between multiple stores in a designated area.
Applicants must have their own smartphone.
If shortlisted, you’ll need to upload your Matric Certificate, ID, SARS Letter, and Bank Confirmation Letter to the JOBJACK platform. Note: No one will ask for your personal documents over social media.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do during your workdays:

Count and document stock to be merchandised.
Unpack and record received stock.
Arrange and display products to attract customers, ensuring all lines are visible.
Maintain accurate stock usage records and monitor stock levels regularly.
Update displays to reflect stock availability or promotions.
Follow display guidelines and plans.
Use creative approaches to capture customer attention.
Design special displays for seasonal events or promotions.
Check product quality and report any damages.
Stock shelves and keep track of inventory.
Remove expired or damaged products and replace with fresh stock.
Plan product selection and quantities for display.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams.
Enhance displays using color, lighting, props, and decorations.
Create store layout plans, including signs and advertisements.
Keep display areas and storage rooms clean and organized.
Advise customers on product usage and provide feedback on complaints, queries, and requests.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants will be required to meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

Grade 12 or NQF 4.
Previous experience as a Merchandiser, in Sales or Customer service will be an advantage.
Clear Criminal Record.
