#SAMAsIt’s exactly four days before all roads lead to the South African Music Awards (Samas) this Saturday, 2 November, at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. Those attending the show are already getting ready with final checks and outfit choices.

To prepare the rest of the country, the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) announced media personality and actor Minnie Dlamini as the host for the 30th South African Music Awards (Samas).

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on SABC 1. In a statement shared with News24, the media personality promises to add a special touch to this year’s Samas by creating an unforgettable experience for audiences at the venue and at home.

The Samas are more than an awards show – they are a celebration of our rich musical legacy and a platform for South Africa’s extraordinary talent to shine. To be part of the milestone #SAMA30 is an absolute honour, and I’m beyond excited to bring my love for our music to this iconic stage.
The live show on Saturday will feature a line-up of live performances from KB, Skwatta Kamp, Bucy Radebe, Liquideep, Thebe, Matthew Mole, Mthandeni SK, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Zee Nxumalo, Babes Wodumo, Mthunzi, DJ Cleo, Arthur Mafokate, Rebecca Malope and many more.Tyla leads the pack with five nominations this year, followed by Kabza De Small and Mbuso Khoza, with three each.
