About Mopani District Municipality Learnership Opportunity 2025

Mopani District Municipality, located in Giyani, Limpopo, invites unemployed youth to participate in two LGSETA-funded learnership programmes: Local Economic Development (NQF Level 4) and Water and Wastewater Process Control (NQF Level 3). Each programme offers 100 posts, providing practical training and nationally recognized qualifications to enhance employability in municipal services and water management.

Programme Purpose

The learnerships aim to empower unemployed youth aged 18–35 by providing skills development in critical municipal sectors. Local Economic Development focuses on community growth and project management, while Water and Wastewater Process Control equips learners with water management skills, supporting Mopani’s commitment to sustainable service delivery and public health.

Programme Structure

Applications must be hand-delivered and include a CV, certified copies of your ID (both sides), and Grade 12 / Matric certificate (certified within the last 6 months). Clearly indicate the programme (Local Economic Development or Water and Wastewater Process Control) on your application. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 90 days of the closing date. Background checks (criminal record, citizenship) will be conducted on successful applicants.
