An opportunity has become available for a Graduate Trainee – Lab Technician at Vitro

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Qualified chemical technician/technologist/metallurgist/Ceramicist or similar qualification
• Collect & prepare samples using laboratory apparatus and testing equipment to determine the material characteristics.
• Perform lab analyses as required for each operational phase; drill core, mining, finished product, projects and new product development work.
• Compile and record testing and operational data for review and further analysis.
• Generate Certificates (Specification sheets) of Analysis for finished products where applicable.
• Help Production departments to identify & resolve non- conformities.
• Participate in quality program objectives and the resolution of quality issues.
• Good communication skills.
• A very strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work within diverse teams.
• Adhering to Factory Housekeeping standards.
• Health and safety.
• Leadership skills.
