About MUTFSCO and BASF Bursary

The Mangosuthu University of Technology Former Student Christian Organisation (MUTFSCO), in partnership with BASF is accepting applications for 2025 academic year bursaries.

Bursaries will be awarded to African female students, for Semester 1 / Semester 2 studies within the following fields:

• Chemistry
• Engineering
• Sciences

The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: full tuition fees, books, laptop, accommodation, food and a monthly stipend.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

• You must be a South African citizen
• You must be a Black female
• You must have completed Matric
• You must be studying or intend on studying full-time towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above, in 2025
• You must be studying or be registered to study at an accredited institution in South Africa
• You must have a strong academic record
• You must be in financial need and meet the NSFAS income criteria
• You must NOT be receiving any other bursary or scholarship awards
• You must NOT have a criminal record
