On a recent flight from Melbourne to Venice, an Australian couple were forced to sit beside a dead passenger for hours after the woman has passed away.

As reported by Daily Mail, the couple, Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin, were onboard a Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne to Venice when the woman suddenly collapsed in the aisle of the plane after visiting the toilet. 

Despite the life-saving efforts of cabin crew, the woman could not be revived.

“Unfortunately, the lady couldn’t be saved, which was pretty heartbreaking to watch,” Mitchell Ring said, according to Daily Mail.

FOUR HOURS FLIGHT NEXT TO PASSENGER

It was then that crew members noticed there were actually vacant seats on both sides of the couple and asked them to move over to make room for the dead passenger. The dead passenger was then put in the seat beside Ring, and covered in blankets for the rest of the four hour-long journey to Doha, Qatar.
